Valora

Valora was designed and built near here by master boatbuilder David Stimson, and completed in 2018. She is 43 feet on deck and 55 feet overall in length. She is a Sharpie Schooner which means that she has a relatively shoal draft and uses a centerboard instead of a keel. Her design is based on the boats designed by legendary designer Commodore Ralph Munroe in the Florida Keys over a hundred years ago. Valora was designed and built to serve as a day charter boat and is in this service here in Boothbay Harbor. You can charter this boat anytime! She is owned by Sharon and Douglas Goldhirsch.
