Grayling was built by Wilton Crosby in 1898 in Osterville, Mass. The last of the famous “D” Class Catboats of Massachusetts Bay which raced to great acclaim from 1880 until 1916. Her current owners, Douglas and Sharon Goldhirsch, have been her stewards for 40 years. Grayling was reportedly built for JP Morgan or some member of that family.
